The Executive Pastor assists the Senior Pastor in providing leadership and overall direction of the church staff, leading all functional areas in the accomplishment of the churchs mission. This includes, but is not limited to outreach, arts, pastoral care, student and childrens ministries as well as strategic planning, finance, administration human resources and day-to-day operations.

The Executive Pastorof Ministry and Administration at The Fountain Church

Responsibilities:
SUPPORTS the Senior Pastor in the accomplishment of the church's mission through ministry effectiveness, evaluation, selection of team leaders, decision making, planning and overall direction of church staff.
Effective and excellent communication of the gospel through preaching and teaching.
Proficient in MicroSoft Office and Google applications, church management software and and social media platforms.
Manage the ministry staff to effectively reach the churchs demographic.
Ensure the operational readiness of the church through leadership and oversight of the support staff performing duties in administration, finance, Human Resources, supply, and facilities management.
Facilitate the annual strategic planning process including evaluation of ministry performance; review of mission, vision, and core values; development of key objectives and tactics.
Establish and maintain a set of key performance measures (KPMs) that provide the Senior Pastor and church staff with ongoing visibility of the effectiveness of all functional areas of the church.
Develop annual financial plans that fund the accomplishment of the strategic plan and meet critical financial objectives such as established cash reserve levels.
Assess the current needs of the congregation and opportunities for growing the church and work with the pastors and other leaders to develop appropriate ministry initiatives.
Champion the development of systems, procedures and training for all ministry and support areas that supports healthy, long-term growth of the church.
Lead the churchs building programs including capital fund raising campaigns, master planning, design and architecture, contractor selection, and construction.
Develop and train volunteers and those who lead volunteers.
Perform other ministry duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.

Excellent management skills including planning, budgeting, delegating, allocating resources and meeting appropriate deadlines within budget.
An excellent communicator, with highly developed listening skills and effective oral and written communication.
Must be fluid, flexible, and willing to accept/adapt to change.
An ability to build strong teams. Develops and trains volunteers to be strong leaders. Encourages measured risk-taking and monitors performance in support of ministry goals.
Must be committed to the Bible as the Word of God.
Must be willing to commit to the vision and mission of The Fountain.

Requirements and Skills

Minimum of 3-5 years of ministry leadership at the executive level.
Possession of a Bachelors degree. Masters degree from an ATS accredited theological school is preferred.
Proven track record of effective leadership, judgment and good moral character.
Ability to maintain a reputable community presence and influence.
