JOB TITLE: Financial Aid and Billing Accounts Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Business Director

This is a part time position working 19 hours or less per week. There is the potential for more hours.
Schedule: Flexible shifts. 19 hours within Monday-Friday.


The Financial Aid and Billing Accounts Coordinator is responsible for administering the annual process and operation of Kings financial aid program. Guide families through the program, maintain all application materials, and respond to inquiries. Coordinate all aspects of the school billing and collection cycle with support from our accounting department and be a resource to families for questions and resolutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (General overview and may not include all details of responsibilities)

1.Facilitate the Financial Aid Program:Review policies and procedures, making recommendations as needed.
Collect and evaluate applications.
Determine and communicate award decisions.
Direct awards to be distributed to family accounts.

2.Manage Billing and Collection Cycle:Direct and assist the CRISTA Accounting department in the regular billing and collection of tuition and fees.
Monitor the monthly aging of accounts receivable and proactively manage family relationships to maximize the collection of past due accounts.
Analyze and recommend adjustments to the AR allowance.

3.Respond to family inquiries and resolutions requests pertaining to financial aid and billing account.
4.Assist School Business Director with other financial, accounting, reporting, and analysis needs as requested.
5.Perform other related duties as assigned.
6.Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.

Two years experience with accounts receivable/billing, bookkeeping or equivalent.
Experience providing customer service


Microsoft Office suite

Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to problem solve.
Able to become proficient in a variety of software applications quickly.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work independently, efficiently and professionally with a wide variety of personality types as well as demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow.



Bachelors degree or certification with an emphasis in accounting, finance or business-related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent..

Prior work in a school environment or other not-for-profit organizations.
Experience with accounting, financial analysis and budgeting in a business setting.

Working experience with FACTS Grant & Aid, FACTS SIS (RenWeb1), and Smart Tuition
Experience with Unit4/AGRESSO Accounting System, Salesforce, Paycom, Nutrikids POS, or Adaptive Insights Budgeting and Business Analytics
